Welcome to
our web site about our Turkish Vans and Norwegian Forest cats. We started breeding
Turkish Vans and attending GCCF shows way back in 1990
with Turkish Vans (Auburn & White and Cream & White), but due to Alan's job
requiring him to work away from home, we decided to stop. This happened in
1997.
We started again in 2005 because we are mad and we are missing the enjoyment of having
Turkish Van kittens and attending shows. We now live in South Derbyshire, near
Burton-on-Trent and we will be keeping with the Classic Turkish Van lines of
Auburn & White Turkish Vans. We have also decided
to have Norwegian Forest cats in our mad world so that we can have something
with some colour without having to destroy the breed.
This is the part that we get
sentimental and thank every one for allowing us to have their kittens, which
will enable us to re-establish the name of Alantris Turkish Vans and
establish the name of Alantris Norwegian Forest Cats. We would like
to express our deepest thanks to Joyce and David Johnson (House of Akdamar)
for allowing us to have their wonderful girls from the Classic Turkish Van
lines as well as Anne & Steve Dolley for allowing us to have a new stud. We all would like to express our thanks to Christine Hamilton, Landsker
Norwegian Forest Cats and a big thank you to John and Caroline Tipper of Tiganlea
Norwegian Forest Cats for all their help, advice and friendship as well as
our new Norwegian Forest Queen and our first Norwegian Forest Stud.
Andrew Lloyd Webber became
a new owner of a Turkish Van, called Otto and you can see his video diaries of
Otto by clicking on the buttons below. Once viewed, please click your
browser back button to return. Sadly, Otto has died due to a road accident
and our wishes are with him and his family.
We have started showing again
and have started having kittens from our Turkish Van girls, we hope to have
Norwegian kittens later in the year. One of our main
ambitions will be to have our own Alantris Champion Turkish Van or Norwegian
Forest (or both) on the show bench, then progressing to
Grand Champion etc.
We have lost contact with a lot of you Turkish Van lovers and would love to
hear from you again as well as making new friends with all you new Turkish Van
& Norwegian Forest
